reading Giordano Bruno... i realized that some things i already knew. this, about eyes and light, was described by me back in August of 2008... strange feeling...

OPTIcs--a science that deals with the genesis and propagation of LIGHT, the changes that it undergoes and produces, and other phenomena closely associated with it.

OPTIcs--any of the elements (as lenses, mirrors or LIGHT guides of an optical instrument or system)

OPTIcs--EYE: a specialized LIGHT-sensitive sensory structure of an animals that is nearly all vertebrates, most arthropods, and some mollusks in the image-forming organ of sight

OPTImum--the amount of degree of something that is MOST FAVORABLE to some end

OPTImism--an inclination to put the MOST FAVORABLE construction upon actions and events or to anticipate the BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME

to be an optimist is to see the light at the end of the tunnel

LIGHT--something that makes vision possible; light and vision are indivisible

light=vision

and that's what Giordano Bruno wrote in his Dialogues... which I read just now...
